Pretty star-shaped blooms
Delicate in appearance but not in nature, Thalia is an old variety, favourite of the Victorians, and still very popular today.
Light: full sun to partial shade
Soil: well-drained sand, clay, loam, chalk
Type: Division 5 triandrus daffodils
Bulb size: 8/10cm
Sweetly scented, Thalia can have more than one flower per stem. The ice-white, star-shaped flowers are pale green before they open. Excellent cut flowers, they naturalise well and increase each year.
Care: plant in autumn at least 10cm deep – one a half to two times the depth of the diameter of the bulb. Add grit to heavy or wet soil.
