Narcissus ‘Rijnveld’s Early Sensation’
Possibly the very earliest daffodil
A lovely gold, large-trumpet daffodil made all the more wonderful for flowering sometimes as early as December for us. Not too tall which makes them more weather proof against winter storms.
We love these and always have a clump close to the house to cheer us up in the depths of winter.
Light: full sun to partial shade
Soil: well-drained sand, clay, loam, chalk
Type: Division 1 large trumpet daffodils
Bulb size: 12/14cm
Care: plant in autumn at a depth of one and a half to two time the diameter of the bulb. Add grit to heavy or wet soils.
