Narcissus ‘February Gold’
£3.50 – £8.00
A very pretty and early dwarf
A golden yellow miniature daffodil with a long trumpet, slightly flared at the end, and slightly reflexed petals. Long-lasting flowers, good for pots or naturalising.
Some say ‘February Gold’ doesn’t flower until March, perhaps not in northern regions, but for us it starts flowering in the first half of February.
Light: full sun to partial shade
Soil: well-drained sand, clay, loam, chalk
Type: Division 12 miscellaneous daffodils
Bulb size: 8/10cm
Can also be forced for flowering at Christmas.
Care: plant in autumn at a depth of about 10 cm – one and a half to two times the diameter of the bulb. Add grit to wet or heavy soils. The Lenten daffodil can take a season or so to establish.
