Iris reticulata ‘White Caucasus’
£3.50 – £10.00
A later flowering white form
A pure white form of Iris reticulata. This white form flowers later than other I. reticulata. We grew it in 2018 and was surprised just how late it was compared to its winter cousins.
Light: full sun
Soil: well drained sand, clay, loam, chalk, moderately fertile
A long flowered iris that can be planted at the front of the border, en masse or in a pot where its fragrance can be savoured. If planting in a pot, sprinkle fine gravel or course grit on the surface to prevent the flowers form being splashed with soil.
Care: plant at least 5cm deep in autumn, 10cm better for flowers in later years, keep moist when growing and drier when dormant.
