Iris reticulata ‘Spot On’
A new purple dwarf iris
Mid purple with dark purple tips and a lemon yellow splash, this iris gets its name from the spots of purple on the paler falls.
Light: full sun
Soil: well drained sand, clay, loam, chalk, moderately fertile
A long flowered iris that can be planted at the front of the border, en masse or in a pot where its fragrance can be savoured. If planting in a pot, sprinkle fine gravel or course grit on the surface to prevent the flowers form being splashed with soil.
Care: plant at least 5cm deep in autumn, 10cm better for flowers in later years, keep moist when growing and drier when dormant.
