The lovely lilac-purple blooms of Crocus tommasinianus ‘Whitwell Purple’ have a soft silvery pale throat. It stands up well to early spring weather and is one of the best for naturalising.

Beautiful deep purple buds open to flowers with bright orange anthers on this species crocus. Goes well with native primroses.
Care: plant 10cm deep in autumn. Plant in naturalistic-looking clusters. If planting in grass, do not mow until foliage has died off.
