Crocus ‘Orange Monarch’
A rare orange crocus
A rare and unusual bright orange crocus with deep purple-black markings on the outer petals.
Month: February – March
Light: full sun
Soil: well drained sand, clay, loam, chalk, moderately fertile

Orange and black are the colours of the Monarch butterfly which is how this crocus got its name. We grew just a handful of these in 2017 and needless to say there will be more planted this year!
Care: plant 8-10cm deep in autumn, add grit if the soil is heavy.
