Flower bulbs make great gifts and we can send them to a gift address if you prefer. When you order just add the different delivery address along with your billing address.
We don’t print the prices on the packing slips so your recipient will not know. If you’d like to add a message, you can include it at checkout in ‘order notes’.
BUT be wary of sending flower bulbs in advance – for example spring flowering bulbs will not keep in time for Christmas. We are often asked at autumn fairs if customers can keep a bag of bulbs and give them at Christmas, but we’re afraid the answer is ‘no’ as spring-flowering bulbs need to be planted by November.
Occasionally you can get away with planting them later, we certainly plant our leftovers pretty late, but you may not get the best from your bulbs. We find some bulbs especially do not keep so well, such as camassias. These have a higher moisture content and can suffer either from mould or from drying out if not planted as soon as possible.
